Dick Clark

For those that may be trying to view the video in my prior post, looks like you're too late. Dick Clark Productions had words with YouTube and there's nary a video to be found anymore. Such is life. I must say I was surprised to see that Dick Clark was behind SYTYCD. He's gotten quite big and it makes me think back to the stories of my mom's younger days when she worked in the music business. She knew Dick Clark and when he headed out west to Hollywood to take his career to the next level, he asked my mom to come with him and be a part of it. Ultimately she declined. That decision enabled her to meet my Dad here in NYC and for them to have me. Hayden 1, Dick Clark 1. Until next time old man! ;)

Facebook

There are several sites out there to show off who you are and connect you to your friends (Friendster.com, MySpace.com, etc.). I've got pages on those and they're pretty neat, though the coding on Friendster isn't optimized and it can't handle certain html codes that users place in their profiles.

Anyway, my point is not to bitch about the poor coding of Friendster, but to make everyone aware that Facebook is by far the best site out there. It has tremendous functionality and permits user-end applications to be uploaded and shared by everyone. One of the coolest functions is how you can upload infinite photos and tag people in the photos. Facebook keeps track of the tags and will show you when someone else uploads a picture that has you in it. That picture will then be viewable by you and appear in the overall selection of pictures of you. Very cool. If you're not on Facebook, I urge you to join.
